Welcome to Huddersfield Poperetta Productions

Huddersfield Poperetta Productions a social enterprise established to provide jobs and training.

We write, produce and perform new musicals with the community and for the community, covering Huddersfield and district.

Training is run through our Creative Keyboards so that people of all ages can be creative through our painting and music sessions available to all, no musical knowledge needed. Especially suitable to older people who want to learn new skills and wish to help young people who are engaged to work with older people in the communities of Huddersfield

Poperetta has evolved from the operettas that every community performed in the 1950's and 1960's in Huddersfield and district. These brought communities together through musicals that people enjoyed, and helped form communities at places like Birkby, Sheepridge, Paddock and the Valleys.
